And build your employability skills at the same time.
On 4 March, our Careers team and members of our Business Faculty attended the opening of the new Volunteering BoP office in Rotorua, hosted by their CE, Vanessa Lister, and the fabulous, Katie Rowland!
We heard from Vanessa and Katie that every Volunteer is a “Superhero” and every good superhero needs a “C.A.P.E”, with Volunteering Bay of Plenty seeking to Connect, Advocate, Protect and Educate around volunteering within our community.
Volunteering BOP has a range of exciting volunteer activities all across the rohe including Tauranga, Rotorua, and Whakatane for students to participate in.
As a volunteer, you’ll receive great training and develop your employability skills across a range of environments. Toi Ohomai students have made an impact in their volunteer roles through Volunteering Bay of Plenty in the past, and we know the importance of working together to manaaki our community in the future – something that Katie is extremely passionate about.
