Our Te Puia Store – Oha – is full to the brim with a range of quality merchandise and giftware, from Pure NZ mud packs, health and beauty gift sets, merino and possum wool clothing, paua shell décor, and a range of greenstone and bone jewellery, items such as souvenirs, postcards, Kiwiana themed knick-knacks, 100% Māori made and locally owned fashion accessories.
We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Retail Manager, for an immediate start. This is a full time permanent position (minimum 40 hours).
Person specifications:
- At least 3 years’ experience in Retail and Customer Service.
- Previous experience in cash handling.
- Merchandising skills.
- Showroom and layout experience.
- Experience in the use of POS systems advantageous.
- Good computer skills.
- Commitment to tikanga māori.
- Some knowledge of traditional māori craftwork, culture, and origins.
- Some knowledge of Te Puia activities.
- Must be able to work weekends and public holidays.
