E hīkaka nei te ngākau – Ngāti Whakaue Assets Trust is excited to partner with our whanaunga at MDA Limited to create this awesome opportunity at Crankworx.

Crankworx is a global multi-stop series of mountain bike festivals. Crankworx Rotorua is the only stop outside of North America and Europe, held on te maunga takotako o Ngongotahā and across our wider Ngāti Whakaue rohe.

Crankworx Rotorua is delivered by MDA Ltd, owned by brothers Tak and Tu Mutu (Ngāti Hurungaterangi, Ngāti Whakaue). We are looking for a Ngāti Whakaue individual who is willing to ‘get amongst’, make connections and grab hold of this unique learning opportunity, working as part of the super-impressive Crankworx whānau. This role will also provide the opportunity to gain experience and exposure across MDA’s wide-ranging tourism operations.

Who should apply:

Anbody who wants to build up their event/tourism experience.

The role can be shaped depending on what you want to get out of it – whether you’re interested in event logistics, media production, trail building and maintenance, sponsors and the expo area, volunteer management, tourism, customer service, or a mix of it all.

Details:

–          8-week work experience role within the Crankworx team starting mid-September

–          20 hours per week, increasing to 40 hours during the event (25 October to 7 November)

–          Paid the living wage

Criteria:

–          Must be of Ngāti Whakaue descent

–          Must have work reference/s

–          Having a full driver’s licence is preferred but not essential

–          Must be passionate about working as part of a team
